Would you like to be our new Mechanical Engineer?

Auramo is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our close-knit product development team in Finland. In this role, you will be at the core of designing and developing our forklift attachments for customers across the globe. You will work on both innovative product development projects and tailored customer solutions, seeing your ideas come to life from the first concept all the way to production and real-world use.

The position is a varied and impactful role where you will be involved in modernizing our main product line, creating entirely new products and supporting customer-specific designs when needed. Your responsibilities include preparing detailed designs, drawings, manuals and supporting sales and marketing with technical information and images for their sales materials. You will also maintain our product groups, with the Finnish team holding global responsibility for roll clamps and bale clamps. Alongside your design work, you will provide technical support for sales, production and purchasing. Typical design tasks include working with robust welded structures as well as complex hydraulically actuated mechanisms. You will collaborate closely with our sales team and also work directly with customer stakeholders.

Our modern and comfortable premises are located in Järvenpää. This is a permanent, full-time position, and you will be employed directly by Auramo Oy. The start date can be agreed flexibly, even at short notice.

What are we looking for?

You have a relevant educational background in engineering (mechanical or automation) and at least a few years of experience in mechanical design, preferably involving welded machines and customized products. You have some knowledge in structural analysis and fatigue strength calculations at least on a basic level. Experience from hydraulics or automation is also considered an advantage. Our design tools are Siemens NX and AutoCAD, with Teamcenter for managing data. Skills in similar software are equally valuable.

As a person, you are cooperative, practical and proactive. You enjoy working with different departments and stakeholders. Our team in Järvenpää works mainly in Finnish, but in this role, English will be your working language, so we expect you to be able to use and understand it in everyday situations. Finnish language skills are considered a strong advantage.
