Assistant Controller, Golf GameBook
Looking for a finance role where you can combine hands-on responsibilities with the opportunity to grow alongside an international business?
We usually respond within two weeks
Golf GameBook is a leading scorecard app with a mission to make golf more fun, easier and simpler for golfers of all levels – on and off the course. Founded in 2007, we set out to modernize golf by replacing traditional paper scorecards with a digital, social experience that brings golfers closer together.
We believe golf is more than just a game – it’s about connection, shared moments, and enjoyment both on and off the course. With Golf GameBook, golfers can track live scores, share comments, photos, and videos, and stay connected with their golf community in a fun and effortless way.
Today, Golf GameBook is used by over 2 million golfers worldwide, with more than 70 million rounds played through the app. As we continue to grow, we’re always looking for new talent with fresh ideas to help shape the future of golf.

Would you be our new Assistant Controller?
As an Assistant Controller, you will join Golf GameBook’s finance team in a newly established role created to support our continued growth and international expansion. Working closely with our Head of Finance, you will be involved in a broad range of finance activities and gain a wide understanding of how finance supports a growing international business.
Your responsibilities will include processing sales and purchase invoices, managing daily cash management activities and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Alongside these responsibilities, you will support and develop monthly financial reporting, maintain and develop KPI reporting, and contribute to ad hoc analyses that support business decision-making.
You will also play an active role in developing internal processes and strengthening the internal control environment. As the finance function continues to evolve, you will have the opportunity to participate in reporting development projects and support the implementation of new technologies, including AI-driven solutions.
This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible. The role is based at our office in Espoo and follows a hybrid working model, with the possibility to work remotely one day per week.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controlling or auditing, together with a relevant educational background (BSc or MSc). You understand how financial processes work in practice and feel comfortable taking ownership of recurring finance tasks while also contributing to the development of reporting, processes and controls. Experience with Netvisor or a similar financial management system, combined with solid Excel skills, will help you succeed in the role.
Fluency in Finnish and English is required, and Swedish language skills are considered a plus. Experience from a technology company, subscription-based business, or another consumer-focused business environment is considered an advantage. Familiarity with BI tools, data analysis and reporting will help you succeed in the role.
As a person, you are detail-oriented, reliable and proactive. You enjoy working in a growth company where you can take ownership of your work and have a genuine impact on how things are done. We believe you will thrive in this role if you are curious by nature, eager to learn and motivated by developing both processes and your own expertise. While you don't need to be a golfer yourself, an interest in the sport or the industry can help you feel right at home in our team.
Why us?
At Golf GameBook, you will join a fast-growing company with Finnish roots and an international reach. This role offers a great balance between familiar financial routines and development-oriented work. As Golf GameBook continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and make a visible impact on how our finance processes and reporting evolve.
You will work closely with the business in a low-hierarchy and agile environment where ideas can quickly turn into action. We value ownership, initiative and a willingness to challenge existing ways of working.
We offer a competitive set of benefits, including two weeks of paid vacation during your first year of employment, extensive healthcare, golf benefits, gym membership, commuter benefits, and more! After your probation period, you can also work remotely from abroad for up to one month per year.
