Would you be our new UX Designer?

We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our client company Vaisala and work on cloud-based products for industrial measurement solutions. These browser-based solutions involve monitoring conditions such as temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, and pressure in environments ranging from data centers to industrial processes.

In this role, you will collaborate with both centralized design team and product development teams, contributing to UI concept designs, detailed UI designs, and user-centered design activities such as user research, prototyping, validation, and usability testing. This position offers the chance to work on multiple products and help shape their design direction in alignment with user needs and business goals. The position is full-time, and based at Vaisala’s headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. Vaisala offers a hybrid work model, but we hope that you enjoy also collaborating and networking face-to-face with your colleagues in the product and design teams.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive and curious UX designer who enjoys both the detailed UX design and more visionary concept work. You excel in interaction design. Visual design skills are an asset but not mandatory. You are also interested or skilled in doing user research, facilitating design workshops and conducting usability evaluations for the products. You should have a relevant educational background in design or related fields, such as Engineering (M.Sc. or B.Sc.), and at least two years of experience as a UX Designer. The role is also suitable for more experienced designers. Experience with cloud-based products or industrial solutions is highly valued. Proficiency in Figma and a strong understanding of UX work processes are essential. You should also have a keen interest in facilitating ideation workshops and validating design concepts both internally and externally. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required. To thrive in this role, you should be proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn.
